| STUDENT LIFE |

This Association was born from the students themselves, to allow interaction outside the classroom environment. It provides a diversity of functions ranging from financial to social exchange whether in class or hostel.

The students have organized, through the Association, to support themselves financially through contributions and loan facilitation. Through this they also have an opportunity to exchange cultural values from different communities through travelling.

We remain linked to other clubs and societies in the Institute for the benefit of the members.

Patron

Greetings from the Chair & Members

The Association was officially born on 10th June 2003 at the Institute after a gestation period of 10 ½ months. The founders had the extra task of consulting those both in higher and lower authority before launching the Association. Currently, the Association houses its office in Pharmacy class 1 and members meet bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 4.00p.m. to 5.00p.m.

MOTTO:

Charting a course of progress towards a focussed goal

Why are we there and what are we doing?

Those who founded the Association had the major objectives of;
i) Catering for the welfare of its members financially
ii) Bringing members closer together socially, which is of great importance in an institution like this one.
iii) Concentrating on the goal that brought us here, namely academics, through forming group discussions amongst ourselves and discussing topical issues of interest pertaining the course one is pursuing.
iv) Helping solve minor problems both academically or financially e.g. sickness

How to become a member

12.Incase of an emergency, members will be required to respond positively and quickly to solve the problems at hand.

13.All members in the Association are equal and have equal rights.

The response of the student community has been very positive and recruitment is continuous. We encourage as many members to join as we believe as long as we work together as a group we are going to achieve great things. Remember, life does not require of us to be the biggest or the best, it only asks us to try. Join us and let us see where we shall reach together!
